En route to Cherbourg
We are back at sea with a final 180 miles to do from Camaret to Cherbourg,
it seems like a short ‘hop’ when compared to the 330 across Bay of Biscay!
We treated ourselves to breakfast ashore, one of those memorable croissant,
crepe breakfasts overlooking the ancient harbour, wonderful.
And so underway at Low Water Brest to be at the entrance of the notorious
Chenal du Four at the correct tide and were slooshed through at a pleasing 8
knots. Sadly now motoring with no wind.
The reference to the swallows comes from a beautiful moment with 5 swallows
resting in the cockpit and one asleep on the book shelf down below, clearly
shattered from their epic journey from Africa to Europe.
