Not in Falmouth!

So our last few nights with TC have been poles apart;

Helford River was in a blissfully peaceful spot surrounded by Tawny owls calling out across the water from the depths of the woods, and anchor lights from the other boats that made it feel as if we were surrounded by glow worms!

Falmouth last night, moored in the heart of the port, was bustling with activity, vessels of all shapes and sizes and sounds were passing either side of us, creating wash, noise and much interest.

Two photos below try to capture them both.

So our mini-adventure.

We have travelled 8 hours today but instead of going 40 nm along the coast, we’ve gone about 250 miles in a rented car, bit of a culture shock to be amongst busy traffic for so many hours but we’ve managed to reach our destination without drama.

A dear cousin of Bol’s turns 80 tomorrow; so we decided whilst in southern Ireland that as the westerly winds were scheduled for the next ten days, we’d end Ireland early and get back to the Channel, make the journey to Jane’s in Pulborough, West Sussex and this big family gathering. So that’s where we are for the weekend, back to TC on Sunday.
