rough and long passage saw Fai Tira arriving in Gibraltar twenty two months
after leaving on our circumnavigation.
Made it. The Gibraltar
flag not new underpants.
Europa Point our start and
finish line for the global adventure (not holiday). Fai Tira is now moored in Marina
Bay Gibraltar. We are berthed virtually in the same position as we were
22 months ago. We have done it, circumnavigated the globe. Stealing
the Tippies phrase “Rock to Rock”. I think there will be a
few dram’s drunk tonight!!! I still have lots of Claymore to drink
which we bought here in 2009. No, I think it deserves a bit better don’t
you? Thanks for all the emails of encouragement and support I have
received and thanks to all the BWR friends I have made over the last two years
your camaraderie has been fantastic. BUT most of all thanks to Judy and
my family for supporting me over the last two years I couldn’t have done
it without you. Also thanks to John who has put up with me for the
majority of the trip of whom has shared some amazing experiences. Also
thanks to David and Jeremy who were great company and crew members. After all
it’s is an adventure NOT a holiday!!!!! Next stop Dartmouth to
resume life as a Husband and Grandfather. Finally let’s not forget
our friends who are no longer with us, Phyllis and Bob, Scott and Jean. If you have been following our
