Fai Tira in Tresco Scilly Islands 49:57:54N 6:20.80W

A great day cycling around Tresco. We started at the famous botanical gardens and what a treat they were. 

Lots of exotic plants and trees from around the world. We then set off around the island on our mountain bikes.  The beaches are, white sand lapped by a turquoise sea.  The sun came out for a short while which enhanced the scene.  We saw a couple of old castles and ancient monuments. 

We arrived back in the enclave of New Grimsby in time for John to head back to St Mary’s on a fast rib to get a tooth problem sorted out. 

Early tomorrow morning we set off across the Bay of Biscay for a 450 mile 5 day crossing.  The weather looks OK so hopefully we will have a good crossing.
