The fog is lifting and a watery sun is visible through the high cloud. Still 2.5 hrs to go before the midday fix, but making 6.5-7 knots in 11 to 13 apparent. Might be making a little more North than ideal but speed is of the essence to escape the quiet pursuer. I can't help thinking that all this warm(er) air I'm passing through coming up from the south, must make useful warm sector material for the depressions that thankfully do not appear to be forming.
Everything except the batteries is holding up well. I can see why it is wise to replace standing rigging more often than seems natural.....Sula is a big strong woman, but her rigging goes through some juddering cycling.
Midday fix gave us 148nm in 24hrs..... Makes up a bit of time on the foggy ghosting. Still keeping up with the Polars.... The European model seems to be the most optimistic so I'm going with that. Still making more North than East much of the time.... Still can't have everything!
