a 2nm motor to the wide bay infront of the town of Ao Nang to get some fresh food. Dinghied ashore, but didn’t find too much to buy. most food sold at cafes and road-side stalls. nearest market 10 or 15 mins DRIVE in land (Krabi?)

by the time we got back to the dinghy with a tray of beer and soda from the water shop (delivered by motorbike to the beach), the wind had turned west again. We upped anchor and went off to the east side of Chicken island c 5nm off (Ko Dam Khawn), had a quick look ashore and then left, with the intention of going to the west side of the island, but it was still really choppy there with no guarantee it would calm down so we motored back north to the west side of Ao Nang Bay for a flat peaceful night.
