engine working

sorry, also meant to mention chief engineer Terry for spending several
frustrating hours tracing the engine problem after 2 straight nights at sea.

luckily, back in Port Suez, Egypt 15 months ago we had to strip the cooling
system under the excellent supervision of Werner of sy Medea to find a pipe
90% blocked with calcium deposits. we feared that the deposits had re-formed
and hence our over-heating. so, remembering what he had done with Werner we
flushed the oil cooler and found several bits of the rubber impeller that
had broken off mid-ocean 2 weeks ago and got stuck in the pipework.

is there no end to my skipper's talents?!
