moon up. day 2

2200 on monday night. an orange waning gibbious moon has just risen in the eastern sky.
all well on board.
we had a decent 30 hour stretch under sail until 1800 when the engine came on. if we are to make landfall in the daylight tomorrow we need to up the pace a bit.
the seas have been wide and largely empty, just a few ships passing in sight. there has been a gentle swell with light west to nw winds. earlier we saw dolphins chasing tuna causing them to leap high out of the water. unfortunately none of the tuna found their way to the end of our fishing line.
