Passed the northern tip of Tobago at 4 in the morning and for just an hour
were swept along on a 3 knot current. The chart showed three lighthouses
that could have confirmed our position, but all were dark. By daybreak the
winds were still light but fuel was almost finished so, with the engine off,
we sailed slowly, very slowly towards Grenada. Gradually with the help of
the current, the island appeared and by evening it was a glorious sight as
we came around the south west tip, the colourful buildings of Georgetown
glowing in the sun. Finally tied up in the marina, out of fuel, batteries
low and minus two sails, but happy to arrive.
