Finally departed Plymouth Thursday, out past the breakwater, at 0500, first
light, and had an ebbing tide to give us a push. With lively north easterly
winds behind us we made good time for the first few hours but within 12
hours the sea had got pretty confused and then two days of force 7 gusting
force 8, at time making 11 knots surfing down the swell. Surrounded by 30
dolphins Saturday morning. Cabo Prior lighthouse sighted at 2 am and Torre
de Herculese light two hours later,.....Spain ahead. Arrived La Coruna just
as the sun rose at 6:30. Tired
