We continue to tack down the rheum line to the
finish. When beating to windward like this the boat is continually at an extreme
angle and we use our body weight on the high side to give the boat a little more
power. I crawled / climbed out of my bunk at 08.00 to start my next
watch and Matt literally climbed in the other end and was asleep before his head
hit the pillow - its been a long old night and its blowing old boots
!
We are making better than 7 kts over the
ground, very good in this sea state - you might say 'we have the hammer
down' and will have until we cross the line tomorrow night.
Cooking is out of the question so its energy bars
and rolls for a couple of days.
