As we continue South towards the Cape Verde Islands
the wind has finally begun to make a consistent apearance, allowing us for the
first time to start setting a course west to our destination of St Lucia. Today
we have a clear sky and a water temperature of 24 degrees with just over 10 kts
of wind from the NE.
As a crew we have found our routine with everyone
having made their culinary debut - food has been bountiful and
delicious.Overnight we run single watches of 2 hours, allowing all to get a few
off watch hours of sleep.Hot in the boat now butta great temerature in the
cockpit during night watches.
Its a big ocean - we saw I yacht today after
nothing yesterday other than a Japanese fishing fleet.
All systems are working well - we have made 240
litres of fresh water to date with showers all round!
Over the next few days the wind builds to increase
our speed to destination...
