Well yesterday was our fastest so far with 195 miles on the organisers data over 24hrs - more than 8 knots average which is amazing if you consider we had planned the trip at 6 kts average. Not without its drawbacks from a comfort perspective as we are moving around a lot. Last night was probably the worst sea state so far.

All clean crew after showers but as you sit in your armchair in which ever country you are, consider a session in the Juniper shower..... The boat has been rolling 20-30degrees either way as we hammer down sea. The heads measure about 1.5M x 1.5M and if you open a cupboard you had better be a world class juggler. As you get going everything gets wet and slippery plus you bang across the cubicle and no the door handle shouldn't be there and yes it is painful!! As you wash you pump it all over the side and you emerge clean, shaken and stirred. Try cleaning your teeth tonight  rolling 20 degrees either way - the shadow on the bathroom window should amuse the neighbours. The clever part is that we make fresh water. So far this trip we have made over 500 litres from sea water for drinking, washing and cleaning. We currently have full tanks again (500ltrs in the tanks as well) and the generator is re-charging the batteries. Isn't technology wonderful.

Winds today are a bit further from the South than expected so we are heading slightly into the breeze which is V bumpy. Overnight we had rain and over 25 kts, again not what was forecast.

We continue to eat well - Guy's turn tonight and we have banned him from opening cans

Computer says..... 1030 9th. But who knows.
