Well, when we got to the anchorage last night it
was blowing 20kts and very crowded with a cross swell. Not a lot of sleep was
had followed by a motor sail into wind for 3.5 hours. Not a great 24 hrs. Wind
was blowing 25-30 kts and our course gave us 40 degrees apparent so big seas and
into it. For Jonathan, reef 3 on the main worked a treat.
As I have said many times, the boat was superb in
handling the conditions and we arrived safely, albeit a little
stirred.
In a Marina in the capital of Guadaloupe, Pointe de
Pitre. Could be anywhere to be honest but friendly people and clearing customs
was simple.
James and Sarah are now in Antigua and will be with
us in the morning so no repeat of Gibraltar in the summer.
