Another exciting 24 hrs. Main stats - max wind gust
40 kts, max boat speed 12.2 kts with mean speeds of 7.5 to 8 and constant wind
of 20-25kts. 190NM run in 24 hours.
As predicted but the sea state higher than we
expected with 4-5M swells from two directions - thus the yuck part. Mainly
sailing downwind with two reefs in the main and the number two poled
out.
We should be in Lanzarote by 2359 tonight thus a
passage time of 3.5 days from the Algarve which is stunning. Will have a couple
of days there and then head on to Grand Canaria - 70 miles away.
The dolphins are all on holiday - no wild-life so
far apart from some sea birds.
All well but a bit
thinner!
