We finally made it! After a long night rolling away in a following sea with gusts of up to 38 knots we finally rounded Cape St Vincent at around 11am local time this morning.
As soon as the corner was made and as if by magic the winds began to die, the sea state slackened and the temperature soared starting an 'epic' sunbathing session for the final few hours into Lagos. On final approach to Lagos the sails were dropped early and, having decided it was finally warm enough, we took the long awaited dive from the side of the boat into over 150 mtrs of water. (This was followed by the fastest lap of the boat I have seen in a long time and a swift exit after we realised that the atlantic ocean isn't QUITE as warm as expected!)

We are due to go out and explore Lagos tonight and will no doubt return with plenty of stories for tomorrows entry.

Attached is a photo of our dive and one of our new favourite passage games....!

James.
