Well the wind is back which is a) great because the
speed is up and destination looms large, but b) uncomfortable as we have the
rolling and surfing down waves back. We all agree that a) is worth
b).
From yesterday afternoon we ran with spinnaker
until dark and then saw average speeds of 7-8 kts overnight. Topping out at
11kts. Most difficult part was judging the squalls as they came through -
one had us all up reefing sails at dawn as it came with 35kts of breeze. Not fun
but no damage.
The weather seems set for this until the finish
where we hope we can get in early tuesday evening.
Computer says 0550 on the 9th but who
knows......
