Had a great day visiting English Harbour, home to
Nelson in the heyday of the British in Antigua. Highlight was a tour around a
classic 150 ft yacht moored right next to the old British garrison. Enjoyed also
a daysail to Carlisle Bay to introduce Sharon and Nigel to the nuances os
sailing Juniper. Somehow Sharons new Carribbean top managed to shed
it's green colour so we had the green goddess on board!!!
Last night we headed up to Shirley Heights - a bit
of a "must do" in Antigua on a sunday night. Fantastic views of English and
Falmouth harbours ( see phot ) and after the rum punch kicked in ( see other
phot ) we enjoyed the steel band and later raggae group into the
evening.
Today sailed the 16 miles to Green island in
perfect sailing conditions. Anchored in a perdect spot to enjoy the snorkelling
the reef tommorrow.
