An uneventful overnight passage from the most
beautiful inlet just south of Ibiza where we stopped for dinner. Motored all
night with a very bright moon for much of the time. One minor alert when David
and I changed course at 0230 to avoid a radar contact that turned out to be a
very narrow rain shower!!
Most bizarre aspect of the crossing was that
we sailed through hundreds of cut bamboo poles, obviously dropped from a ship by
accident. So much in the water that we passed it (taking avoiding action for
some major rafts) for 18 miles.
Dropped David and Guy off in Cabo de Palos after
their overnight training session, which is close to La Manga for you golf and
tennis fans. Sally and I are now 6 miles from where we will anchor for the night
in a Cala near Cartegena.
All well and the weather is beautufil but not
spoilt by wind!!
