Departed at 0030 for our onward passage West.
Stopped in Almerina for fuel at 0900 and then made Marina del Este at 1630 - 100
NM in no wind at all!! The last 4 hours the sea was like a mirror. The coast
here is incredible with plastic growing covers as far as the eye can see. Now
you know where your winter strawberries come from. The Costa del Sol is,
however, lacking in useful anchorages so glad we are not trying to get in
somewhere in August.
The Marina here is a beautiful development of
apartments and Marina area with a very friendly team.
We are 35 miles due East of Malaga and the names
west of here read like a Monty Python sketch - all you need is a pint of Watneys
Red Barrel to complete the picture!!
For Nikki and Keith the route is East on the E15/A7
to Los Guerra and then onto the N340 for La Herradura. The Marina is 2 miles SE
of the town.
All well and suntan improving.
