Had an excellent evening in Chez Marie Jo last
night (is actually her house and lived up to expectation re cultural experience,
even the neon lights failed to dampen the night) . Set 4 course meal with conch
fritters, fish soup, main of langustine stew, braised oxtail and a
mystery offal dish followed by ice cream. Great fun and
humming.
Set off early to travel North to St Pierre, an
early capital of the island completely destroyed by a volcano eruption in 1902
killing all 30,000 population bar two. Amazing sight today (see
phot).
Booked out with customs/immigration via a cafe.
Different.
Off early to sail 35 miles North to Dominica.
