We went straight from Alderney to Sark and anchored in the beautiful Derrible Bay where we spent another rather rolly night,

so we moved up, the coast to some mooring bouys (£15 per night) and ...spent another rolly night ...with fog.

We were getting used to navigating through the rocks!

Sark, three miles long and half a mile wide, is a very scenic island. The rugged cliffs are full of caves and jagged rocks which look very dramatic from the seaward side. It looks impenetrable but up from the beaches run luxuriant paths for a steep walk up to habitation. We could have hired bikes easily but decided to hoof it and went from Sark to Little Sark across the narrow stretch of La Coupee. The place is lush, lots of the houses are also cafes and there are lots of rather good restaurants. No cars and lots of old world charm, this was a really good visit.

Looking down from La Coupee. It is quite narrow and some people couldn't go across because they got vertigo, however, the local horse and carriage vehicles manage it easily!
