Continuing our way north up the east coast island chain. Left the swelly anchorage of Jacob’s Bay for our next overnight stop at Sibu Island where we anchored in just 5 metres.
This was destined to be an official rally stop but it was cancelled due to the National elections which took precedence. We came anyway and it has been an excellent stop, pretty island and good snorkeling. The waters on this coast are clear and really good for swimming & snorkelling unlike the muddy west coast where many rivers pour out their silt. It is just great to throw down the hook (our new Rocna anchor which is an excellent addition to the boat) and then just dive in.

Two night stop here with a turtle for company – such big sighs they make.
