Position 50:09.2N 005:01.2W . 12.5 days Horta in the Azores to Falmouth a distance of 1,200 nm.

At 21 00 BST we dropped our anchor in St Mawes Bay just opposite the town of Falmouth. Our hopes of sailing into Falmouth were thawted when the wind died completely just after midday and we had to finish off the last few miles on the engine. Even so it has been a really pleasant day. a flat calm but lots of good views of the coast line. A few visits from dolphins and lots of sea birds including our pidgeon which I managed to get rid off after a few attempts. He got the message in the end.

As Norm says he only joined up for the trip from Falmouth to the Canaries. 2 years and 12,000 nm later he’s back where he started.

Time for a celebratory drink on board RT. The old girl has done us proud.
