Day 2

The indifferent winds we had yesterday have been replaced with a consistent NE at F4/5 and occasionally F6. We have been making a consistent 6+kns with times in the 7s and sometimes 8kns. This is with a mizen and headsail only we haven't used the mainsail since leaving Porto Nova. We have now reefed the headsail and still making 6.5kn.We are under 2000miles to run, still seems a lot. I think we will be more inclined to celebrate 1000 to go. till blue skies with overcast mornings.Starting to see flying fish and those weird jellfish with sail fin. We were accompanied by a pod of dolphins yesterday

Most of the fruit we bought in Mindelo is going mouldy so we are eating fresh fruit as fast as we can rather than throw it away. The green bananas we bought in Mindelo market are still very green and we realise that the are cooking bananas. Can you help Pat with a recipe for boling or frying em please.
