Frank had kindly offered to fill in some of the gaps in our charts. We were
invited on board his boat Raffles Light. An amazing ship something that you
don’t see every day. Getting the chartlets transferred over to us with the
limitations of the internet proved problematic but solved eventually.
Next day after doing a few jobs it was off to Santo Domingo. The main area
of interest is called the Colonial area and is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Quite compact but impressive. We wandered through the bus station passing
through China Town on the way. On the way we got dragged into a barbers for a
shave next we were having our finger and toes touched up. Norm had a facial but
kept making excuses for not having his ear pierced. The bus ride was in some
contrast to the taxi ride in.
