10 April - Today has been spent being driven around the island of St Kitts.
Its about 35 miles and we have seen lots of industrial sugar cane relics. Romney
Manor plantation house and its exquisite gardens and splendid views across the
sea. We have been to Brimstone Hill Fortress This was made a UNESCO World
Heritage Site in 1999 and is a well preserved example of 17th and 18th century
hill fortress, built on a volcanic plug. Its been nicknamed the Gibraltar of the
West Indies.
We finished off the day chilling out at the Shipwreck Bar in Frigate
Bay.
