We haven’t been found adrift with two cold cups of tea and a half eaten digestive, yet. We are not likely to be as we haven’t left Puerto Rico. We have tried but the wind is against us, this time lack of and in the wrong direction. But that’s only half of the truth. The truth is we don’t want to leave. We have tried but there isn’t any heart in it. At the moment we are anchored up at the east end of Puerto Rico just off Cayo Icacos. The plan at the moment is to head in the direction of Grenada and find a home for RT for the hurricane season and head off back to Blighty in the big bird in the sky. I have to be back in UK by early June or I’m in trouble and this should at least guarantee this. 

 

We have so many fantastic memories of our travels since last September, I can’t see it end now by sailing back to Blighty. Further west there is Dominican Republic, Haiti, Cuba and the US of A not to mention all those other islands in between.

 

Tomorrow’s plan is to head for St Croix in the US Virgin Islands on route to Grenada. Its 53 miles and in the present wind conditions may necessitate an overnight session.
