Monday 18/3/13 - Having prised ourselves away from Cumberland Bay we made a
06.00 hrs start for St Lucia. It was our intention to anchor between the Pitons
but in the end the Town of Soufriere looked more interesting about 1 mile north
of the peaks. The boat boys saw that we had a good mooring close to the town.
Tuesday 19/3/13 – Ashore to see the Customs and Immigration people. We
looked around the town and then took a bus to Castries. Not much going for it as
the main town in St Lucia but it does have a cathedral and did allow us to see a
lot of the country for little or no cost. The views from the high level road of
the Pitons is spectacular. Shopping and then back on board to chill out for an
hour or so. Dinner in town after a short water taxi ride to the jetty.
Wednesday 20/3/13 – Heading off North again, this time to Rodney Bay. A
marina, showers, shops, even a swimming pool. Time to chill for a couple of
nights.
