Hi to you all,
We arrived in Horta at 00:00 UTC and were met by the World Cruising Club representative who asked us to go alongside the fuel berth rafted up alonside another ARC boat, The "Last of the Normal People" owned and crew by an Austalian couple from San Fransisco he named it after his father who claimed that upon his death he would be the last etc.
We have bunkered 300 lts of fuel and 750 lts of water and deposited both gas bottles for a refil. I was called on deck to clear customs and imigration at 08:30 and check in with the marina. The rest of the crew are away having showers and doing some laundry and we are now lying alongside the main north harbour wall in Horta with all the famouse paintings on the dock, someone has already designed a flag to paint for Librtad encompassing the tree flag of the UK,USA,and France.
I must go and start the list of jobs that enevitably arrise after a long passage at sea ( 2157 nm and 17 days) We hope to leave to visit some other Azorean Islands on Wednesday so I will try and update you as we go.
Best wishes Paul and the crew all safe and well in Horta.
