18/08/2012 It was a fantastic light
show last night with the stars out Light winds, stunning phosphorescence, but
unfortunately we are having to take it easy on the motor because we have to
conserve the diesel, but still getting along at 5.5 too 6.5
knots. I Managed to get all but
one of the jobs done I wanted to apart from the wiring which I thought was best
left for landfall rather than try and sorted it at
sea. The guys are counting down the days till the
weather is warmer, I know better than to count my chicks before their hatched
and am just happy to know it will be a lot warmer when we
arrive. We are expecting northerly today
and it’s going to be coming right from where we are trying to go!! I’m hoping
they drop past us quickly so the westerly's can take us where we need to go,
time will tell. Chris, we tried to use your cyphering pipe and it
didn’t work that well at all so we modified it and it worked great after that. (
we cut the end off and just used the pipe!! don’t worry we will reattach the
piece that wasn’t working before we get but the pipe works
ok!) Not a bad days run, we are over a 1/3rd of the
way there now and already its getting warmer, I’m seriously considering a salt
water shower later but not totally
convinced! Regards
