1200 NZT ~ Pigs can fly
philosophy! Well we had a great sail yesterday albeit power
assisted to take advantage of the weather forecast over the next few days we are
now well past North Cape and Cape Reinga, and we are heading towards LHi the sea
swell past northern New Zealand is quite large but mostly benign it just the
aftermath of the winds that were present prior to our departure, everything is
working well apart from a couple of gremlin's but nothing that canât be fixed on
our arrival in Melbourne. We are looking at present to be passing just low of
Lord Howe in about 5 days and from there will head to the east coast and follow
it down with a number of places we can hide in if the weather is not looking
good ahead. The game plan as such (which is as difficult to predict as the
weather in this part of the world!) is to use the southern current flow down the
east coast to speed us on our way, avoid the low pressure that is on its way
earlier next week and using the two high pressures that are coming after to sail
straight on through the Bass strait and into Melbourne before anymore low
pressure systems appear... mind you Iâm not going to bet my car on it! but you
never know....watch this
space! On a brighter note Bruceâs supply of Paihia Bombs
seem to be doing the job and are keeping the wolf from the door or should I say
the chunder from the
fish! As always I will keep everybody
updated. Blog Entries
