NZT 1215 Today gas been an eventful day in our terms we were motoring all
night and when I got onto watch at 0400 I had to continue doing that for about a
1 1/2 hours then the wind slowly came in and I put the jib
up then did a little quite cleaning and boat bimbling ( FYI for those
that don’t know what bimbling means it when a guy goes to his yacht to **uck
around with it, rather than spending time with his significant other, personally
I’ve got a fantasy about bimbling with one (option with the quantity!) women on
the yacht. Ok now I've nearly lost the plot about what I want to tell you guys!
oh yea, to cut a boring story really short we are now sailing under two sails
with a little motor to top the pace off and life is
sweet. James has cleaned the bilge out today as we have been getting a
little water in from the toilet salt water intake, we have had to shut the inlet
stop cock down and are now considering our options as far a going for a serious
contemplation or just a normal one. The options were bag it and chuck it,
however as I pointed out this would involve two people being involve e.g. one
holding the bag and the other....well I think you guys can figure that out
yourself, but my concern was having two staff off for quite a considerable
amount of time when you factor in the ‘stage fright’ phenomena. The second
option didn’t really wash and the only sensible one was to use a bucket but the
other two did point out the only pitfall they could see with this option was the
lack of places to put a toilet roll holder on the back of the boat.....the mind
boggles. Any how enough of that mundane stuff I heard late last night that
there is a problem with Dana’s Tomatoes!! it seems that there is a rather
militant left wing unit of the local Possum coalition and they have taken it
upon themselves to liberate a few of them, this has now become a global problem
in Elwood, I awaiting for further
reports. On a less serious matter George, could you let us know about your
progress on getting a repair or service for our Autopilot as it is no longer
taking a active roll in our day to day sailing lives, also if you are planning
to come up to Eden to do the last little bit of the delivery from Eden we may
have an good logistical solution for your trip up, you could bring Leigh’s car
up and he can drive it home. Please let us know what you
think. We have another couple of things to do today, we are running
new wire for the stern light as the old wire wasn’t the right type and is
corroded so much that the light bulb would not light
up. Finally we have to investigate why the VHF radio isn’t working so we
need to find away of reserving the charges from a Sat phone call the coastguard
if we ever needed them, either way I don’t think they will get here too quickly
if we do that to them.....that’s just picky in my
opinion. Anyhow thanks for reading my ramblings but I need to get some sleep
now. Cheers
