We have made good progress
the whole trip up to Manihiki and we are now at the finally stage of this
leg and will be anchoring up outside Manihiki at approximately 2200 hrs tonight.
We have had no problems along the way and the weather at the moment, apart
from being a bit lumpy has been on the whole good to
us.
We will be looking to
start tomorrow morning with meeting with the local elders and that is going to
be carried out entirely in Maori, so with Ian's blessings I'm going to stay on
board and do a bit of tiding up.
I've noted that there are
a few things that could be improved and will see what I can find on Manihiki to
help with those, plus the outside of the yacht needs a good house down and then
a couple of the lights are not working so I will endeavor to put these
right.
I think I shocked
the Guys last with my cooking I did an India Curry which I made quite mild
in my terms but I think for more so Ian and only a little for Natua was hotter
than expected! It was going to get about three good size tomatoes going in
it to help cool it a little but with the limited size pot that we had
there was no room till this morning after we had eat a little bit, I sure these
from more acceptable than the previous night.
We are all looking forward
to getting our feet on dry land for a short period of time before we head
off.
Regards
Mark & Natua,
