Well at present we are 2 days out of Langkawi,
weather at present is cloudy and followed up by torential rain and 30+ knts wind
squalls, hopefully it will calm down a little when we get into the Strait of
Malacca, then it is straight accross to Langkawai approximately
300nms.
Apart from the rain squalls and the heavy wind
there is not much exciting going on. Julie and Lourdes leave us in Langawai and
Alex and Monica joint us on the 8th of October.
As we have lost alot of time on this trip with
maintenance and repairs I will be heading straight out to VaVa'u Tonga, to pick
up another boat before I head homw for Christmas.
The other day we got the newly repaired Spinnaker
up, which considering that it was repaired by a curtain maker it looked to be a
very good repair, however later in the day we were just about get it down
everyone on deck and it ripped again along the tapes the same as before so after
this leg it will go into mothballs until it reaches Australia where it will be
repaired locally. Currently we are sitting in about 30+ knots of breeze and a
shit load of rain, it's not falling it just like 1000 buckets of water are being
thrown over your head! pretty wet.
Anyhow we will be in port in a couple of days I'll
do an update then.
Cheers
Mark
