Well, we are off on our final leg with about 431nms to the Torres Strait,
Accros the Arafura sea through the Torres Strait and down the East Coast of
Australia to Brisbane, it's about 2060nms in total with a brief stop in
Cairns to refuel before we cover the final 800nms to Brisbane. The Torres
Strait is an area of the sea which is scattered with lots of little island
which seperate Northern Australia and Papua New Guinea, after that we will
sail (probably motor) down the east coast inside the Great Barrier Reef,
this becuase the protect the reef gives reduces the size of the waves inside
and hopefullt makes our passage alot smoother and faster. We are hoping that
we can make it into Brisbane on the 23/24th of November. Until then I'll
keep updating the web diary every couple of days.
Fair winds. Mark
