24hrs run ~ 150 nms
well late yesterday afternoon we had a bit
of a dilemma with the Sat phone, I couldn’t get it to receive the grib files
that tell us what the weather is going to do. I tried re lading everything and
then I removed all the drivers and the software and then reloaded them but
nothing, diddly sqwat!
So later on today I tried to call out from the
phone found that I hadn’t got any credit left!!!! I had used 77 mins in three
days!! unbelievable (something not quite right there??? but it’ll have to wait
till i get back to Auckland to sort it out) , so I managed to get off a couple
of text messages and hopefully you will receive this a day
late.
Last nights sailing was cool, managed to sail fast
enough for 12 hours doing between 6,5 to 7,8 knots without motor
assistance.
I made a big pot of Stew last night which everyone
enjoyed and Steve is our morning chef and he did cheese on toast with tomatoes
it was
great.
Tomorrow I’m making some storm food that is easy
to eat if the weather turn to crap, like chicken drum sticks, boiled eggs and
sarnies! so we be ready if or when it happens,
We are only 3/4 days away from Sydney which is
over half way in distance.
The temperature is quite pleasant not too cold at
night and may rise a little when we are closer to our
destination.
Happy Sailing
