I had a few issues with connecting the Sat phone to the laptop
and thinking my way round the problem I have solved the problem by transferring
the yacht Sim card to my Sat phone which is now connecting fine, I’m keen to try
and get Ross and Anne’s phone a try later but for now I'm more than happy that
communications have been restored and I can let people know we are fine
and that I can also get access to the weather.
There is a pattern to the wind over the last couple of days,
pretty much its been off and on for a day and a half and from about Midnight
last night we have been sailing and at the moment we are travelling at about
6.knots average and covered 150 nms over the last 24hrs.
We are all getting into the swing of things and the weather is
promising for a reasonable straight forward trip back!!! famous last
words.

I noticed that the stitching has come undone on the foot of the
genoa where the plug cord lives, I’ll try and drop it on the deck later and
either patch it with sail cloth or tape it. For the time being its not in any
danger of getting worse or ripping anywhere so I will leave it
alone.
Apart from that all is well and the humidity is getting less so
it’s a bit more comfortable on deck even though its 32C.
