NZT We are about 630nms off the
north cape of New Zealand, generally things are good but the fuel situation is a
little concerning as we had to open the last tank last night??? when we pulled
up in Lord Howe we had over 500ltrs and only used the generator twice a day so
Iâm unsure weather when we topped off in Sydney whether all the tank valves were
open during filling so that not all the capacity of the tanks was filled,
strange I know but nothing that the wind in the right direction canât sort out.
Yesterday our newest crew
member Chris Johnson literally had just put the fishing line over to catch a
fish outside the lagoon in LHI an d he pulled a fish in. Later on that one was
discarded as he land a huge King Fish it was about 1 mtr long and we now have
enough fish to last us a couple of days. The fish and chips we ate last night
was probably the best anyone has ever eaten.......well perhaps not but it tasted
dam fine to us, well apart from the wind not being from too kind a angle
everything is fine on board and we are sailing in sunny weather with 20 to
32knts of wind with the usual cross seas all is
good. Regards
