                | Position @ UTC 1200 03/10/07 What a start to the 1st of October, at 0736
UTC time we spotted a Sperm Whale coming straight for us, we had to take
avoiding action to miss him, obviously does know the rules of the road!,
Position 04:55.21N 081:02.36E, he was a big bugger beautiful to watch about 15ft
wide and I estimate between 20 and 30 tonnes. So if that wasn't enough @ 0815 UTC Position
04:55.72N 081:07.96E, we saw some sea birds diving for fish, then it was like
the sea exploded with dolphins, between 50 and 70 of them all working
together to round the fish up and have a feed, I've only read about this in
books and it was fascinating to watch it happen in real life, they all looked so
well organized and were moving together to form a barrier to catch the fish,
pretty cool and a fantastic start to the day until a huge rain squall hit us
with 35 knots and a lot of rain about an hour
later...still you can't have it all ways. To finish that day off 200nms midday
to midday Boat time UTC -0300. The last couple of days have followed the same
pattern of rain squalls and fast averages, in one of them last night we couldn't
see the front of the boat and were pulling a reef in the main, well the main was
tightened too much and the spinlock cleat broke, fortunately knowing Lagoons
reputation for under rating the fittings Chris had send us a spare which was
fitted this morning. At present the Equatorial current has turned
slightly against us which means our daily averages have dropped a little but we
have still managed 190 & 195 midday to midday boat time the last couple of
days. Not much else really to report, we'll be close to Langkawai in the next 2
to 3 days and on shore in may be 4.5 days. Mark For more information on this Yacht delivery go to
