A day of Sights

Josh’s first day out of sight of land and he seems to completely un-phased by the experience. He was excited to see a turtle and Portuguese Man O War go sailing by, and utterly mesmorised by the pod of dolphins that put on a phosphorescent display during our first night watch. A great day.

 

The Second Night Watch

We were well and truly rained upon. Then the main halyard came undone and the main sail unexpectedly dropped – all fixed now. All in the fun of an ocean passage.

 

The wind blew and then stopped so we motored on and off for most of the night, or at least until first light when we scurried about sorting out another halyard for the main. The wind is blowing again and we are making a good pace.
