After enjoying a week in La Linea and Gibraltar we sailed around The Rock
into the Mediterranean Sea. On the East side it was fascinating to see the rain
collection slopes for Gibraltar’s water system, 8,000,000 gallons stored in the
rock! Also the new holiday village at the foot.
WE motor sailed yet again all the way. Got into the last space in the old
marina in the centre of town. Bows to the quay with a stern line set holding us
off. We bought diesel when we arrived so we could have a quick get away in the
morning.
Olivia (Theo one of my sons’ gf) recommended a restaurant she had been to
many times. It turned out to be by the converted fishing harbour. A great meal
if a little quiet this time of year, was enjoyed. Thank you any more
recommendations gratefully received. We strolled back along the front to find
wifi and chat via Whatsapp to my family group. I hadn’t tried it before, but it
is great as everyone can see what eachother is saying and comment, a little like
being at home, all we need to do now is get Penny involved.
