A Great Welcome for Wandering Dream as she arrives in Trinidad

A small boat load of well wishers, waving Trinidad flags came out to officially welcome WD and her crew to Trinidad (Jane and Bruce's family). Later, after two hours of immigration and customs formalities were completed the entire crew were accommodated in an apartment in near Port of Spain - many thanks to Jane and her mum, Elena for organising real beds! A lovely party was hosted by Anita and Richard (Bruce's Mum and Dad) with many of Bruce and Jane's relations enjoying roti and drinks with us all - a lovely evening!

Next day, saw Stuart being whisked away to the airport and kith and Kin. The remaining crew moved Wandering Dream from Crew's Inn to Power Boats where she will remain until hauled out in January for a little TLC.

Steve, Bruce, Bill and Denis enjoyed the luxury of a washing machine, showers and available shops. Steve had his broken tooth repaired by Jane's brother Tim. Thank goodness that was sorted out before the Christmas food was munched through!

We all attended a genuine local Trini party, bought Christmas pressies and visited the local mangrove swamps to see Scarlet Ibis coming in to roost.

On the 21st Dec 2014, Steve and Denis' respective families arrived and we left WD to travel by speed boat down d'islands.
