Wiring Trouble
Our SSB HF Radio began playing up yesterday. I traced the trouble to a poor connection (the same fault we have had before) and had to sit holding the plug while transmitting on the Indian Ocean Net. Our signal was substantially reduced. This afternoon is time to try and solve the issue permanently.

Nearing Halfway
In preparation for halfway, Bryony cooked up a delicious English breakfast, served in a wrap. I have prepared some fresh dough, ready for a pizza lunch. Denis is yet to decide what culinary delicacy to temp us with for dinner. Tomorrow we hope to pass the halfway point. We had a good night’s sailing with winds up to 20 knots.

Starbo Calling
Amazingly, yesterday afternoon, Starbo heard us on the radio to Silver Girl. They radioed in and they are now just seventeen miles ahead. They set off from Mauritius the day before we left Reunion. Cedric and Christophe are in fine fettle and both are delighted that we can arrive in Durban together and celebrate Cedric’s birthday on the 19th November.
