We had wandered and explored the streets of Horta, Faial. Rented a car and drove the island in the fog. Had our sails and spray hood fixed and waved goodbye to Jen. Now it is time to move on, we have a rendezvous with my eldest son Josh on the 28th May 2016 in Sao Miguel, so we can island hop until then. 

We left Horta at 1030 and had a fast sail past Pico  to Sao Jorge. Our plan was to stay three nights, but big winds are forecast for Sunday on, so we leave for Terceira early Saturday.

I am bowled over by how beautiful and unspoiled these islands are. Great food, local wine at €8.50 a litre and stunning views. I had heard they were picturesque and I totally agree.
