Starbo Sighted
Having set off nineteen hours ahead of us we were completely taken aback
this morning, that we have caught up with Starbo. She is a 43 feet Benetteau and
has considerably longer waterline length than us and should be much faster.
Cedric says their auto pilot is not coping with the conditions. They are hand
steering during the day and reducing sail at night to enable the pilot to cope
and them to have a more relaxing night. Luckily everything is working fine for
us, these are the conditions WD was built for, slicing through the waves, full
sails set and pilot in full control. We shared our weather and planned to meet
up in Mauritius when we both get there.
