The Shifting Wind
We were able to sail a straight course from lunchtime yesterday. All that tacking has added about eighty miles to our route and consequently many added hours. I hope we can make some of that up after we turn a little down wind, after Recife.

Noddy Revisited
We had a noddy (sea bird) visit us again last night. It snuggled up on the bimini and left its customary payment or deposit. I’m not sure why, but there is something quite reassuring about a wild animal choosing to spend time near you.

Fruit Cake Thanks
The ritual of afternoon tea continues and has been given fresh impetus with the arrival of a delicious fruit cake made by Jane (allegedly Bill cooked it). Many thanks!
