DTD to Richard's Bay SA 404nm
We've thrown the kitchen sink at it, working hard at making the boat go faster and it shows. We are finally making decent progress, and the miles are dropping off. Yesterday was the perfect condition quite a bit of wind, up to 24 knots and fairly flat seas, We managed 7knots and over boat speed consistently, and all this without the feeling that we were over stretching the kit. Although as soon as the mast starts creaking the skipper's head pops up ... how are we getting on? Doing great, thanks!
We have reacquainted ourselves with the mainsail, and what to do with it. It has been up and down but mainly up which helped greatly. Guessing that the deadline to get into Richards bay before the next blow towards the end of the week does focuses the mind.
Not counting our chicken yet!! And keeping fingers crossed! To think some people do this for fun!!
