A week or so out of NZ and most of it spent trying to manoeuvre to avoid a low pressure system which is tracking down from the Coral Sea. So we were unable to follow our usual policy of waiting out calm patches so a lot of diesel burnt to keep going initially and now there is the possibility of too much wind...us sailors never satisfied!
Anyway we are going to call in at New Caledonia to refuel and dry off....just got to get there first as when the low passes we will have low speed headwinds to deal with . So no philosophy tonight sorry!
