we have passed the "2/3 of the way there" mark. 1033 miles to go, with a period of a few days stronger SE/SSE wind forecast. so we have allowed ourselves to come a little further south than planned to give us some ground to give away whilst still keeping the wind aft of the beam hopefully. So what are the thoughts i am thinking, what goes on inside my head? (there is a song in there somewhere!) well obviously the weather is a constant obsession but also the 2 incidents we have had with Emiliano, our self steering gear are in my mind and the fact that on this tack the water in the vicinity of the watermaker intake is aerated and makes it difficult to make water so we have to hope that what we have left in the tank and in jerry cans will get us there otherwise we will have to stop and make water. I have sort of instigated mild rationing of myself (Manuela hardly drinks really well actually refuses to drink water from the tank) so no more washing!
